Timothy Richardson, M.D., Chief of Staff
Timothy J. Richardson, M.D., Chief of Staff, was appointed Chief of Staff of Togus VA Medical Center September 10, 2000 with the challenge of improving access to primary and specialty medical care services for veterans in Maine.
Dr. Richardson is a native of Woodbridge, CT and received a Bachelor's degree in Biology and English from Colby College in Waterville, ME and his Medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. He joined the VA in 1986 as a staff physician in Ambulatory Care at Togus. Prior to his VA appointment, he was in private practice in internal medicine in Waterville, Maine and served as Assistant Director of the Dialysis Unit at Mid-Maine Medical Center in Waterville.
Dr. Richardson is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with additional certification in Geriatric Medicine and also serves as Physician preceptor for the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine Physician Assistant Program.
