William M. Harness, R.N., Associate Director for Patient Services/Nursing Services,  served in the Army Nurse Corps from 1969 to 1971, joined the VA staff in November 1975 and has continued to occupy progressively responsible leadership positions since then. Mr. Harness received a Bachelors degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina, a Masters degree in Nursing from Indiana University and an MBA from Thomas College in Maine. Professional memberships include American Organization of Nurse Executives and the National League for Nursing.
